AASBD Official Local Qualifying Race Marietta, Georgia
The Marietta Soap Box Derby hosts an officially sanctioned race by the All American Soap Box Derby International. The sanctioned race abides by the rules of the AASBD. All local race officials are appointed by the Local Race Director and are responsible for enforcing all rules outlined in the most current edition of the rulebook published by the International Soap Box Derby, Inc. The Marietta Soap Box Derby has established local race rules specific to the sanctioned race held in Marietta, Georgia. The local rules are in compliance with the AASBD rules. The decisions of the local Race Officials are final. If you have questions regarding the local race rules you can contact the Local Race Director for further clarification.
All American Soap Box Derby International, Inc. Rule Book
The All American Soap Box Derby is a youth program administered by the International Soap Box Derby Inc., (ISBD), a non-for-profit educational organization. The All American Soap Box Derby (AASBD) World Championship is an event held annually in Akron, Ohio each July. There are three ways in which participants may become eligible to compete in the AASBD World Championship.

The Marietta Soap Box Derby does not currently host NDR races
The National Derby Rallies, Inc., (NDR) is a youth gravity racing organization organized in 1977 for the purpose of fostering individual development in youth through a structured program of Soap Box Derby-type racing and related activities. NDR sanctioned races are held across the United States and Canada nearly every weekend from Easter to Thanksgiving. The highlight of the year is the NDR National Championship where youth have the opportunity to race for the title “NDR National Champion”.
